A fine Swiss gold and enamel quarter repeating on bell and a toc verge watch, circa 1780, gilt full plate verge movement, pierced and engraved balance bridge, two steel hammers striking on bell for the repeating mechanism on the pendant, à toc device, signed Bordier à Genève.
White enamel dial, Roman and Arabic numerals, gold case set with seed pearls on the bezel, multi-coloured gold to the band with foliage decoration, the back set with a polychrome enamel panel depicting a love scene in the centre, two cartouches, on the bottom with a squirrel and the top with birds, dial and movement signed.
