Gold and enamel-painted watch by Breguet & Fils

A Swiss gold watch with a polychrome enamel painted scene made for the Turkish market, circa 1820. The watch features a gilded full-plate movement with a centrally mounted balance bridge, silvered regulation with Turkish numerals, bearing the signature Breguet & Filsand numbered 4520. The dial is white enamel with Turkish numerals, an outer minute ring, and a Turkish signature. The gold case has a back with a polychrome enamel painted harbour scene with ships in full sail within a scalloped border, framed by gold chased and engraved decoration against a turquoise enamel ground. The case front is decorated en suite and has a polychrome enamel-painted floral wreath with an offset aperture for the dial. The case back is numbered 38358, and the gilt cuvette bears the signature Breguet & Fils and the number 4520.

The movement is not functional. The case is in fair condition with visible scratches upon examination, while the dial is also in fair condition with some noticeable surface marks and scratches.
