A fine Swiss gold and enamel verge watch with eccentric dial made for the Turkish market, circa 1820.
Gilt full plate verge movement, pierced and engraved balance bridge, three armed balance, silver dial for regulator, signed on the back plate with Arabic signature.
White enamel dial, eccentric chapter hour ring, Turkish numerals, outer track for the minute indication, signed below the bezel with Arabic signature. Case decorated with flowers on champlevé enamel to the bezel, the back with painted panel to the centre depicting a bouquet of summer flowers, surrounded by the same decoration as the one on the front bezel. Dial and movement signed.
