A very fine, unique Swiss gold enamel pocket watch set with pearls and diamonds, circa 1830. Probably from Geneva and made for the Chinese market. 18 Carat gold case with maker’s mark IE, serial number and both sides set with pearls; Back with fantastic enamel painting flower bouquet, on it a raised harp, set with pearls and diamonds, surrounded by three butterflies, set with coloured stones and diamonds; Band red and blue multi coloured enamelled with raised leaves and flowers in yellow gold and pink gold; Pendant red enamelled and set with pearls; Face with green engine turned enamel, inlaid with two gold cornucopias, set with pearls, in the upper part the visible balance set with diamonds, surrounded by pearls and below the off center enamel dial with Roman radial hours, outer minutes track with Arabic fifteen minutes numerals, and blued steel hands. Fine quality cylinder movement.
