Gold, pink enamel and diamond lever watch

A very fine and unusual Egyptian, 18k gold, pink enamel and diamond set keyless hunting cased pocket watch made for the Turkish market, circa 1880. A solid, hinged case, matching decoratively engraved and black enamel outers with alternate leaf pattern, central cover in translucent pink enamel over guilloche with diamond-set rose flower within a ring of graduated diamonds, the reverse with translucent pink enamel over guilloche with black enamel centre set with a diamond, outer engraved gold repeating flowers, hinged gold cuvette.

White enamel dial with black Turkish numerals, outer minutes, and red subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. A bar calibre, rhodium plated movement with Geneva striping decoration, wolf tooth winding wheels, 20 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut and compensated bimetallic balance, blued steel overcoil hairspring, index regulator. Cuvette and dial signed.
