Gold and enamel open faced duplex watch by Edouard & Léo Juvet

A Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced pocket watch made for the Chinese market, circa 1820. Gilt, frosted and finely florally hand engraved bridge movement, keywind, blued screws, lavishly engraved going barrel, duplex escapement, mono-metallic balance with polished steel weights, blued balance spring, engraved regulator scale, diamond endstone on balance. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, center seconds, gold spade hand and gold spoon shaped hand. Case with polychrome enamel scene to the back depicting a pastoral landscape with to the left a shepherd sitting at the foot of a tree, playing a flute while two young woman are listening, bezel and pendant decorated with red, white, light and dark blue champlevé enamel to both sides. Engraved gold cuvette, large lateral hinge. Movement signed and numbered.
