A very fine German 14 carat rose gold open faced keyless pocket watch made by
A. Lange & Söhne in Glashütte, circa 1920. The polished case with an engine turned back and a hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Breguet hours, an outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and rose gold spade hands. Frosted gilt ¾ plate movement with 17 jewels, a straight line lever escapement with a gold fork and escape wheel, banking with a pin and hole, a cut bimetallic Lange Guillaume type compensation balance with temperature adjustment screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring with screw stud and swan neck micrometre regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.
