Quarter repeating gold pocket watch

A very fine and rare quarter repeating 18 Carat gold keyless hunting cased pocket watch, accompanied by the original Patek Philippe fitted box and two spare crystals in numbered wrapping. Made by Patek Philippe & Co., Genève Switzerland, circa 1856.
Four body and bassine et filets case with engine-turned and engraved leaf borders, band and bow, the front cover with engraved monogram and a hinged gold rimmed glazed cuvette to view the movement. White enamel dial with narrow radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and blued steel Breguet hands.
Rhodium-plated movement with Geneva striping decoration, 19 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold timing screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring with over coil, index regulator and repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band.
Movement signed, case numbered.
