Gold lever chronograph by Ulysse Nardin
A Swiss fine and heavy 18 carat gentleman’s pocket watch with chronograph and 30 minute counter in the original box, dating back to circa 1910. This timepiece boasts a chronometer quality bridge movement, meticulously rhodium plated with Geneva striping decoration. The finely ground and bevelled chronograph steel parts, along with the ratchet wheel and gold screw compensation balance, showcase the intricate precision of its construction.

Encased in a 18 carat gold case, the watch features an engine turned case back with a engraved monogram DP , as well as a numbered and signed gold cuvette bearing the inscription Chronometre Ulysse Nardin Locle. Notably the push button located on top of the crown allows for the seamless operation of the chronograph, enabling users to start, stop, and reset with ease.

The signed white enamel dial has Arabic numerals, outer track with 1/5 second divisions, complemented by an auxiliary seconds subdial at 6 o’clock and a 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock. The blued spade hands and central chronograph hand.

Ulysse Nardin is a Swiss watch manufacturer.
The company founded 1846 in the Swiss Le Locle bears the name of its founder Ulysse Nardin. He was first trained in the art of watchmaking by his father, Leonard-Frederic Nardin (*1792); thereafter he developed his skills at the known masters Frederic William Dubois and Louis JeanRichard-dit-Bressel.

Ulysse Nardin acquired a high reputation mainly by the manufacturing of Marine Chronometers. (Today the anchor in the company logo reminds us this.) Furthermore, pocket watches with complications such as moon phase, perpetual calendar, repetition and watches with alarm function were produced. The number of employees in 1900 were an impressive 300.
