A fine, Swiss manual wind 18K yellow gold open faced lever watch, circa the 1960s.
Nickel lever movement, calibre 17-140, stamped with double Geneva seal, 18 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance. Silvered dial with applied baton indexes, subsidiary dial for the seconds, and original gold Alpha hands. Polished 18K yellow gold case, snap-on back. Case, dial and movement signed.

Kept in close to new condition, this simple yet classical design still impresses today with its elegance. It still shows two clear deep hallmarks, sharp angles, and its matching last three movement numbers stamped on the rim of the case back.
