A Swiss, 18K yellow gold key-winding pocket watch with dead independent seconds, circa 1830.
Gilded brass movement, two going barrels, double-train of wheels, cylinder escapement, monometallic balance (probably in gold) and blued steel flat hairspring, index regulator. Coloured silver guilloché (engine-turned) dial with Roman radial hours, outer minutes/seconds track, original blued steel Breguet hands, and one horological complication: • Dead independent seconds (activated by the rectangular push-piece at 6 o’clock). Round-shaped 18K yellow gold case, case back guilloché (engine-turned).
