A Swiss fine gold open faced quarter repeating automaton verge watch, circa 1820, gilt full plate verge movement, pierced and engraved balance bridge, plain three arm balance and a silver regulation dial.
White enamel dial in an outer chapter ring, the center showing a theatre, neo classical scene with two cherubs on the bottom striking bells, an aperture on the top revealing an automaton figure of Punchinello fighting Chronos, gold case, repeating mechanism activated on the pendant and case numbered. Roman numerals, all against a blue steel ground, associated gold case, the bezels set with pearls  the back with translucent blue enamel over guilloché bordered by light blue enamel engraved with scrolls, reeded case band, repeat lock to the case band at one o’clock.
