Gold hunting cased quarter repeating chronograph
–
A fine Swiss 18 carat yellow gold full hunter pocket watch with quarter repeating and chronograph complications, circa 1910. It has a mechanical crown winding movement with a lever escapement, a chronograph mechanism, and a quarter repeater striking on gongs, activated by a slide on the band. The white enamel dial shows black Roman numerals for the hours, an outer minute track with 1/5 second graduations and Arabic five minute numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and blued steel spade hands with a sleek central chronograph hand. The timepiece is housed in a polished round three body, 18 carat solid yellow gold full hunter case with smooth front and back covers, an internal gold protective cuvette, a fluted winding crown with an integrated chronograph push piece, and a sturdy round suspension bow.
