An English 18 carat yellow gold minute repeating hunting cased keyless pocket watch, circa 1880. A polished case, the front and back cover with engine turned decoration. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with the technical details. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track with five-minute Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds and blued steel hands. Nickel movement, 28 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance with temperature and meantime adjustment screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Dial, case and movement signed.
