A rare Swiss gentleman’s quarter repeating pocket watch with musical movement, circa 1810.
18-Carat gold case, lavishly engine-turned, with pusher for repetition via pendant, slide for activating the musical movement, and reeded band. Gold, engine-turned and florally engraved dial with enamel cartouches, Breguet numerals, and blued Breguet hands. Gilt bridge movement with keywind, two hammers, two gongs, two going barrels, a tray musical movement with a disc, cylinder escapement, and a three-arm ring balance.
