A Swiss quarter repeating gentleman’s pocket watch with musical movement that activates on the hour, circa 1830. Gold tiered polished case with reeded band, case maker’s punch mark MV, pusher for repetition via pendant and glazed movement. Enamel dial with Arabic Breguet numerals and blued Breguet hands. Full plate movement, keywind, firegilt, with two hammers / two gongs, florally engraved barrel, applied rack strike with polished steel levers, cylinder escapement, three-arm ring balance and fine florally engraved balance cock.
