Unsigned gold repeater from western Switzerland

A Swiss gold, key winding, quarter repeating verge pocket watch, circa 1820. The gilt brass movement features a verge escapement and key winding via chain and fusee. It has an ornately pierced balance bridge. The quarter repeater features a push release mechanism and strikes on two tone springs. The enamel dial displays Breguet style numerals, an outer minutes track, a winding square at 2 o’clock, and blued steel hands with gold tips. The smooth case is made of 18 carat rose gold with a grained rim and is hallmarked 18K. The dust cover is crafted from gilded metal. A key is included.
