Gold and enamel cylinder pocket watch

A fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced cylinder pocket watch made for the Islamic market, circa 1830. Estuary View. A painted on enamel scene on the case back with a view of the rolling countryside down to an estuary with ships sailing by, a translucent engine turned sunrise sky in the background, surrounded by a gold wavy lined border, the outer border with gold and blue champlevé enamel decorated with flowers, the bezel, pendant and bow decorated to match. Hinged gold cuvette.
White enamel dial with radial Islamic numerals, outer minute track, secret signature in Arabic below 12 o’clock and gold Breguet hands. A frosted gilt movement, Lépine caliber, cylinder escapement, three arm gilt balance, flat balance spring and a index regulator.
Dial signed in Arabic.
