A fine and rare Swiss gold-plated semi-skeletonized minute repeating keyless lever pocket watch made for the North American market, circa 1890. A transparent dial with radial Roman hours, an inner minute track on a matte silver outer disc, subsidiary seconds at 3 o’clock with a black dot seconds scale painted inside the crystal and blued steel spade hands.
¾ Plate movement, Geneva striping decoration, 19 jewels, straight-line counterpoised lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, adjusted, isochronal vibrations, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Movement signed.
