A very rare and excellent Swiss, 18 carat yellow gold keyless pocket watch, circa 1913.
A minute repeating, carillon grande sonnerie striking clock watch with three hammers and three gongs. Accompanied by the original Mappin & Webb rosewood fitted box, long chain and penknife. Retailed by Mappin & Webb. A polished case with a hinged gold cuvette.

White enamel dial, Arabic numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and blued steel spade hands. Rhodium plated movement, double train with differential winding, 30 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with overcoil, index regulator, striking the hours and quarters on three gongs with three hammers, centrifugal governor between the dial and dial plate, Silence/Sonnerie selection slide on the band, repeating activated by a trip push piece in the band. Dial case and movement signed, cuvette signed Mappin & Webb.
