Gold repeater with hammers on three gongs

A very rare Swiss 18K gold carillon quarter repeating with three hammers on three gongs pocket watch with three automaton jacks, circa 1820. An Empire case, polished bezel, rope-twist band, the back with engraved classical design within an engine-turned border. Hinged and sprung gilt cuvette fitted to the movement ring.  Central annular white enamel dial, chapter ring with Breguet numerals, flanked by varicoloured gold jacks in classical costume with a cherub jack seated below amongst foliage, foliate engraved gilt dial plate visible behind and blued steel hands. A gilt brass, full plate movement with engraved movement ring, fusée with chain, verge escapement, plain 3-arm gilt balance, engraved continental cock with turquoise end stone, polished under dial repeating work striking with three hammers on three blued steel gongs activated by depressing the pendant.
