A Schaffhausen pocket watch with full calendar and moon phase in near mint condition, circa 1980. This watch is a limited edition, No. 050 of 1000, with original wooden box, IWC original certificate and papers.
Silver lavishly engraved engine turned case with monogram and glazed movement; white signed enamel dial, Roman numerals for the hours, subsidiary dials at 3, 6 and 9 for date, month and day, at 12 aperture for moon phase and Breguet hands; bridge movement, signed with limited edition number and a Glucydur screw balance.

Only 1,000 pieces of this striking and highly complicated pocket watch in a Sterling silver case were ever produced. The lavishly florally engraved bridge movement caliber 9721 is fitted with a Glucydur screw balance with index spring fine adjusting system and shock protection and has an adjustable full calendar. The watch was also available in a skeletonized version reference 5501 – no more than 500 of these were created. In 1984 the price for this watch was 79,000 D-mark
