A Swiss pocket watch with jumping seconds and chronograph, circa 1878. The monogrammed case is 18K rose gold with glazed movement and a large lateral hinge. The dial is white enamel with Roman hours, Arabic minutes, and blued Breguet hands. And it has a stripe-decorated, nickel-plated bridge movement with an extraordinary early chronograph mechanism with pivoted drive and star wheel connected to the escape wheel, a club-tooth lever escapement and a screw compensation balance.
