A fine and rare Swiss, 18K gold, painted on enamel King Charles Spaniel and split pearl-set lady’s pendant watch, circa 1810. The sprung front cover decorated with a painted on enamel depiction of a seated spaniel, alternating radial lines of split-pearls and orange enamel circles, split-pearl border, the back cover further decorated with split-pearls and a stylized tree with royal blue, black and white enamel decoration. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions. Blued steel Breguet hands. A frosted gilt, full plate movement, fusee with chain, cylinder escapement, the escape wheel recessed within the backplate, plain three-arm balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Movement inscribed Transformation par A. Jeannot-Droz a Besançon.
