Gold open faced pocket watch
–
A very rare, golden astronomical verge watch with double-sided dial and triple calendar with 3 central hands, attributed to L’Epine, Horloger du Roy a Paris, circa 1780. An 18K gold, verge escapement, glazed both sides, enamel dial on both sides, time indication on both sides, blued Breguet hands, back with very rare triple date and 3 central hands, indication of the day of the week, the date and the month with indication of the number of days of 28-31, intact, cleaning recommended, optically in excellent condition, very rare. The patent for this calendar watch comes from L’Epine, Horloger du Roy a Paris. Even if the watch is not signed, it is very likely that L’Epine produced it.
