A very heavy, rare Swiss 18 carat pink gold open faced Patek Philippe watch with split seconds chronograph, circa 1893. Delivered to Tiffany & Co. New York.
18 carat pink gold, “à goutte” case; dome with later dedication from the year 1923. Patek Philippe precision lever movement with split seconds chronograph and Geneva striping. White enamel dial with Roman hours, Arabic minutes and seconds, sunk subsidiary dial for the seconds, split-seconds chronograph, blued steel hands and signed “Tiffany & Co. New York”.

With 54 mm and 135 g this is an impressive, very rare Patek Philippe pocket watch. In 1893, Patek Philippe supplied a series of these fine split seconds chronograph movements to Tiffany in New York. They all had 97000 numbers and were made for the American market.
