Gold and enamel watch “The Angler by the Mill”

An important Swiss gold enamel pocket watch with two Jacquemarts and three automatons: “The Angler by the Mill“, circa 1810.
The case is 18 carat gold, tiered and polished. It has a central gilt and engine turned dial with inlaid radial Roman numerals and blued Breguet hands; Polychrome enamelling in the background: farm buildings before an Alpine landscape; Automaton “à quatre couleurs” with applied figure of an angler by a mill, the wheel is turned by the “water current”; And on top with two Jacquemarts “à quatre couleurs“, putti sounding bells. The full plate movement is keywind, frosted and gilt, with two hammers, chain/fusee, conical pillars, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance and a fine florally engraved and pierced balance bridge.
