Fine pocket watch with gold hinge and repeater slide

A fine pocket watch with quarter repeater, made by Charles Meyer in Montreux, Switzerland, circa 1910. The numbered open faced case of this watch was crafted from blued iron and its hinge and repeater slide are made from gold. The white enamel dial has Arabic hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and gold hands. The high quality nickel plated export version of the movement has a fine Swiss precision lever escapement, Geneva striping decoration and a mechanism to repeat the hours and the quarters.
The dial and the cuvette are signed.
