A rare Swiss gold enamel miniature fob watch in the shape of a mandolin, circa 1820.
Gold enamel case; the back cover – with flower decoration and translucent blue and green champlevè enamelling; the front side –  engine turned and translucent blue and green enamelled with the sound holes for visible dial and balance on a florally chased ground. Enamel dial with Arabic numerals and blued Breguet hands. Signed gilt miniature full plate movement, keywind, with three arm steel balance and blued balance bridge.
