A rare Swiss large and heavy yellow gold open-faced two-train minute repeating grande and petite sonnerie clock watch with day and date, circa 1890, manual winding gilt lever movement highly jewelled some carried in gold screwed chatons, two train bi-directional winding, bimetallic compensation balance, striking and repeating on two gongs, 18k yellow gold engraved cuvette.
White enamel dial, Arabic numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary dials for day in French and date, subsidiary seconds.
18k Yellow gold case, engine-turned case back with centred by a blank cartouche, levers for choice of strike petite/grand sonnerie and strike/silent beneath bezel, dial, movement and cuvette signed, case numbered.
