A Swiss nickel open-faced cylinder character prize watch, circa 1900. Keyless gilt bar movement with going barrel, plain cock with polished steel regulator, plain three-arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring, polished steel cylinder, and steel escape wheel. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, and blue steel hands. Plain case, the back engraved with the cartoon character Ally Sloper above A. Sloper. F.O.M. (Friend of Man). The cuvette engraved Ally Sloper’s Half Holiday.
