A fine, small nut shaped gold enamel fob watch with verge escapement, probably Swiss, circa 1780.
Gold enamel case, decorated with hobnail cut, flowers and a letter pigeon over an opaque black and light blue and white champlevé enamel ground. Enamel dial with Arabic numerals and spade hands. Full plate movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, with chain/fusee, solid movement pillars, three-arm brass balance and pierced and engraved balance bridge.
