Heavy minute repeating pocket watch

A very fine and rare heavy minute repeating heavy 18 Carat pink gold keyless hunting cased pocket watch. Made by Patek Philippe & Co., Genève Switzerland, circa 1876. Four-body polished case with the front and back covers with engraved foliate monograms and hinged gold cuvette with engraved dedication.
White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and blued steel spade hands. Rhodium-plated movement with Geneva striping decoration, 23 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold timing screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator and repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band.
Cuvette signed and numbered and case numbered.

A fine and relatively early example of an 18 ligne Patek Philippe minute repeater, the present watch has been consigned from a private family and is in very good condition with a perfect enamel dial.
