A fine, very slim Swiss, 18K gold, keyless minute repeating dress pocket watch by J. C. Grogan & Co. Pittsburgh, circa 1910. With extra Superior movement, Audemars Piguet Minute Repeater. A polished, hinged gold cuvette with dedication. White enamel dial with black Dauphine numerals, outer minute track and subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. Rhodium-plated movement with silver Geneva striping decoration, 29 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, adjusted cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swanneck micrometre regulator, minute repeating on gongs activated by a slide in the band. Dial and movement signed by the retailer.
