A fine pocket watch with centre seconds and a solid silver watch chain (carabiner added), made by Bovet in Fleurier, Switzerland for the Chinese market, circa 1850. It has a silver case with Bovet signature, an enamel dial with blued steel hands and a magnificent, fire gilded Fleurier movement with mock pendulum and a key winder.
Dial, case and movement signed in Chinese.
