A Swiss large, heavy gentleman’s pocket watch with full calendar and moon phase – with watch chain, circa 1885.
Silver, tiered, polished case. Signed enamel dial with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, cobalt blue enamelled moon phase disc with inlaid golden moon and stars, two subsidiary dials for indications of the day and the date and blued spade hands. Bridge movement, frosted, gilt, with side lever escapement and large screw compensation balance.
