A Swiss 18-carat gold open-faced quarter repeating ruby cylinder pocket watch, circa 1830. Keywind gilt Lépine caliber movement with suspended going barrel, plain cock with blue steel regulator, plain three armed gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring, ruby cylinder and steel escape wheel, push pendant quarter repeating on two polished steel gongs. Silver engine turned dial with Roman numerals and gilt hands. Case with engine turned bezels and middle. Wound and set through the gilt metal cuvette engraved with details of the movement.
