Quarter repeating pocket watch with cartouches

A Swiss highly attractive quarter repeating pocket watch with a musical movement that activates on the hour, circa 1810.
An 18 carat rose gold case with case maker’s punch mark HB. Full plate movement, key wind, two hammers,  two gongs, cylinder escapement, three arm ring balance and double sided pinned disc musical mechanism (sur plateau) with vibrating blades acting on both sides of the disc mirror polished levers for musical movement. The gold dial is decorated with exquisite engraving around the rim and white oval polychrome enamel cartouches with Arabian numerals for the hours. The central enamel medallion has a fine polychrome painting of high quality showing Terpsichore, one of the nine Muses and goddess of dance and chorus, sitting at a lakeside.
