Gilt open faced pocket watch 
–
A very rare Swiss gilt open faced gentleman’s pocket watch made for the Canadian Railway by Louis Brandt & Frère SA, circa 1916. The florally engraved case has a screw back and reeded band. The white enamel dial is signed Geo.W. Reall Lindsay and has black Arabic hours, inner 24 hour numerals, an outer minute track, red Arabic five minute markers, sunk auxiliary seconds at 6 o’clock and blued spade hands. The nickelled ¾ plate grade CCR movement has stripe decoration, is gold chatoned, has five adjustments, a chatoned barrel, gold screw compensation balance and cam type fine adjusting device.
