A rare Swiss deck chronometer with wooden box, circa 1920.
Nickel polished case. Signed silvered dial with Arabic numerals, auxiliary seconds, blue 24 hour indicator and blued spade hands. Bridge movement, frosted, gilt, chatoned, with screw compensation balance and index spring fine adjusting device.

Swiss watch company, Cortébert Watch Co.
1865 was manufactured Raiguel Juillard et Cie. (later renamed Cortébert Watch & Co) in Cortébert.
1790 founded Adam-Louis Juillard (1758-1831) in Sonvilier a company for the production of rough movements. When it moved to Cortébert in 1876, the company named itself “ Cortébert Watch Co. ” after its location. Complete pocket watches and later wristwatches were made from around 1890. In 1927 the company was incorporated into Ébauches SA. Abraham-Louis Juillard was the father of Lucien Juillard (1803-1868).
