A rare Swiss, half pearl-set pendant watch with visible balance and enamelled navette brooch, circa 1830.
18 carat gold lancet-shaped case, engine-turned back cover with translucid light-blue enamelling, a duke’s crown and a noble family crest in the centre, half pearl-set borders on the front and back. Enamel dial with peripheral chapter ring with Arabic numerals, blued Breguet hands and at the top aperture for the diamond-set balance oscillating against a steel plate. Moulded movement, keywind, firegilt.
