Gold gentleman’s pocket watch by Vacheron & Constantin

A fine, rare and large Swiss gentleman’s quarter repeating pocket watch with musical movement, circa 1830.
18 carat gold, signed and lavishly engine turned case with pusher for repetition via pendant, case maker’s punch mark “CP”, lever to stop the quarter repeating mechanism, and slide for activating the musical movement. Gold engine turned dial with radial Roman numerals and blued Scotties hands. Bridge movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, with two hammers, two gongs, two going barrels, sur plateau musical movement, cylinder escapement and three arm ring balance.
