Two colour gold open faced lever watch by Gérald Genta
–
A Swiss two colour gold open faced keyless lever minute repeating perpetual calendar watch with moon phases, circa 1985. The watch features a gilded movement with intricate scrolling foliage engraving, a lever escapement, 29 jewels, a compensation balance, precision regulation, and two polished steel hammers repeating on coiled gongs. It also includes a silvered dial with three subsidiary dials for day, date, and month combined with leap year indication, a lapis lazuli roundel with an aperture for moon phases, and gold hands. It is signed Gérald Genta, Genève.
–
The 18k gold case has yellow gold bezels, a white gold band, a sunken repeating slide with a cabochon sapphire set nib, recessed adjusting pushers to the band for day, day/date in tandem, month, and moon phases, as well as a yellow gold pendant with a cabochon sapphire set crown and a bicolour gold bow. It comes with an 18k yellow and white gold signed setting pin and the original Gérald Genta fitted presentation case.

The movement is running smoothly, and the surfaces appear to be in good, clean condition. The hands adjust easily, and all calendar functions are advancing correctly. However, please note that the pin protruding from the Gerald Genta setting pin has become a little too recessed, making it unable to push the setting buttons in far enough to advance them. A longer pin smoothly advances these settings. The dial is in very good condition, and the case is in good condition with some light scuffs.
