An especially heavy Swiss rose gold quarter repeating military figure automaton Jacquemart, circa 1810. Verge movement, repeating the hours and quarter hours. Small central white enamel dial with Arabic hours and outer minute divisions, splendid three-coloured gold figure automaton with extremely rare military figures on engine-turned translucent blue enamel ground, additionally showing a horse, cannon, drum and flags, filigree blued steel hands. Plain case, reeded band, case maker’s mark HMV.
