Open faced deck chronometer by Ulysse Nardin

A Swiss silver keyless open faced pocket chronometer, made for the Argentine Navy, circa 1930. This watch features a rhodium plated mechanical movement with lever escapement. It has a white enamel dial with a black painted minute track, Roman numerals, Empire hands, and a large subsidiary seconds indicator at 6 o’clock. The plain silver case has a smooth bezel, fluted crown, and a round bezel. The officer’s caseback is numbered on both the inside and outside and is inscribed Chronomètre Ulysse Nardin Locle Grand Prix Paris. It comes with its mahogany case. The case, dial, and movement are signed.
