Form watch with enamelled drop shaped case

An unusual Art Deco dress watch with enamelled drop shaped case, made by Mido in Solothurn, Switzerland, circa 1930. The numbered and asymmetric case was crafted from silver and it has a band overlaid with opaque blue enamel, a black enamel triangular bow, a back decorated with black and blue enamel stripes and a winding crown set with a cabochon blue stone. The silvered dial features Breguet hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and attractive Art Deco hands. The numbered movement is fitted with a lever escapement, 15 jewels and three adjustments.
The case, dial and movement are signed.
