Silver enamel full hunter pocket watch by Henry Sandoz

A decorative Swiss silver enamel hunting cased pocket watch with chronograph and minute repeater, circa 1900 and made for the Chinese market.
Gilt 1/2 plate movement, hallmarked and gilded coat of arms of the Sandoz family with the motto: Sine Dolo (Without pain), two hammers / two gongs, gold screw compensation balance. Enamel dial with Roman radial hours, outer minutes/seconds track with Arabic five minutes/seconds numerals, subsidiary dial for the seconds, centre second hand, and Breguet-style hands. Silver, gilt, polychrome enamel case set with half-pearls.

The front and back of this extremely decorative silver enamel, scovers are engine-turned, translucent red enamel and have semi-pearl-set bezels. The middle part is decorated with red champlevé flowers. A multicoloured enamel portrait of a lady with a white powder wig and a deeply decollete dress is on the front, and a rectangular medallion of a knitting elderly lady in a rocking chair while looking after children is on the back.
