Unusual and large Austrian silver and enamel quarter repeating open faced verge pocket watch with three concealed erotic scenes, circa 1880. Engraved bezel, reeded band, enamelled Renaissance-style bow, the back cover decorated with a polychrome enamel mythological scene, the interior decorated with a graphic erotic scene. Hinged cuvette decorated with two more erotic scenes on both sides.

Gilt dial with white champlevé enamel chapter ring, blue radial champlevé Roman numerals on gilt cartouches, the centre with an enamel scene of three cupids in a landscape and gilt-brass hands. Matte gilt movement, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three-arm balance with flat balance spring, continental balance cock, repeating on gongs activated by depressing the pendant.
