A historically interesting full hunter cased presentation watch from Max Egon II of Fürstenberg made by Omega SA in Biel, Switzerland, circa 1911. The numbered case of this watch was crafted from silver, has an engraving on the front of the princely coat of arms surrounded by a medal and a crown above, an Omega punch mark, the back with a fine engraving of the castle and the inside of the spring lid has a gift dedication of the prince dated 1911. The white enamel dial has Arabic hour numerals, outer minute divisions, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and gold spade hands. The movement has an Omega precision lever escapement.
The dial, case and movement are signed.

Maximilian Egon II of Fürstenberg (full name: Maximilian Egon II. Christian Karl Aloys Emil Leo Richard Anton, Prince zu Fürstenberg, Landgrave of Baar and Stühlingen, Count of Heiligenberg and Werdenberg) was born on October 13th, 1863 in Lana, Böhmen and died on August 11th, 1941 auf Schloss Heiligenberg am Bodensee. He was a nobleman, large landowner and politician. Maximilian Egon II was head of the Fürstenberg dynasty from 1896 and was considered a close confidant of Kaiser Wilhelm II.
