Stainless steel open faced lever watch

A fine and rare, large, elegant Swiss, stainless steel keyless dress watch. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives, circa 1948. Retailed by Serpico y Laino, Caracas. Sold on September 7th, 1949. A solid, polished and brushed case, stepped bezels. Brushed silvered dial, with Breguet numerals and applied gold dot indexes, outer minute track, large subsidiary seconds dial. Black Breguet hands. A rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and five positions, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometre regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.
